  1. Why do they make concepts they know will sell then never produce them?? The Cadillac 16 was a little out there but if they made it a V12 I think it would definitely have sold. The Buick Riviera concept is also something new and great looking but will probably never be made and if so look NOTHING like the concept. The car companies like to show us futuristic looking cars but give us slight changes i don’t get it….

  2. I’m doing a project on concept cars, and my main question is “how are concept cars made, and how do they benefit their manufacturer.” I just need a good example of how a certain concept car had a big impact for the production of their manufacturer (it could be any concept car)

  4. For example, the Chevy Volt looked really cool and aggressive when first unveiled as a concept, but now the pictures I see of it are much more toned down and looks like an ordinary car (kind of looks like the Malibu to me).

Overall why do concept cars look so awesome, but when they are for sale they lose all their coolness, or never make it to production?

  6. I am really tired of seeing, hearing, and reading about all the concept cars. It seems that less than 5% ever even hit the production line and become available to the general public.

  7. I always see these pictures of concept cars unveiled at auto shows, but I wonder what happens to them. Do they actually work and run or are they just shells of design? Do they get dismantled or end up in a museum?

  8. Can a person buy them? Do they give them to employees? Do they destroy them or put them in a museum? Concept cars are usually way cool and even cooler then the final production model. How can I get one?

  10. I really wanna know if someone is interested in concept cars then how can one learn about these cars? I mean its purchase, performance, price, dealers.etc.

  11. I was checking out the QarmaQ concept car and thought to myself that it was the coolest car I ever saw. Then again I’ve said that about many concept cars. The thing is these cars never make it to production. Instead its the same old crappy boring designs. Is it because the concept cars don’t even work? If so why even show them off. Why would I be impressed with a company that makes a nice looking car that doesn’t even function? Or maybe its obscenly expensive to make?

  12. How come so many car companys make these concept cars and never manufacture them for people to buy? I love some of the ideas but for some reason we cant buy the cars. What is the point of making them if your not going to sell them?

  14. I’ve always wondered why car companies make concept cars and I could never really figure out why. If concept cars are never released, why do car companies waste time and money creating concept cars in the first place?

  18. I saw a Honda commercial featuring a concept car, and I thought many would go out to buy it, but it’s not available. What’s the story?

  22. I know car companies make these cars to show the future and what they are capable of etc. But car shapes haven’t changed that much in the last 10 years or so, these concept cars can be made now, and people are impressed by them. So why don’t they come to market?

  27. I mean like the awesome looks of a concept car that makes it to production- why do they always change the look at the time of production? Why can’t or why don’t they just leave the futuristic looking bodies?
